Katerina Park was great value for money, especially for Moscow. It was a shame that it's not in the best location, but Moscow is expensive and you do get what you pay for. Definite bonuses were the free breakfast buffet, the free mini bar, and the wifi which in this day and age is all difficult to find for free at any hotel! The staff was very nice and hospitable, and the metro was a close walk away. All in all, I would recommend it to anyone who was ok with venturing into Moscow alone and taking the metro.
The rooms weren't as comfortable and maybe modern as the pictures appear on this site. The room also smelled kind of funny too. It was still clean though. The beds were not that comfortable, you could feel the springs in them too, and I did not have a great sleep until the third night after 3 days of walking! That being said, my husband thought they were fine!
All staff - except some trainees - speak English really good.
My room was looking at direct sunshine and. Air conditioning was not enough. A level of 30 degrees or 10 degrees don't make a difference, can never get the room to cool down. In the mornings, I woke up into a very hot room. Only was to cool it down was to open the windows, which resulted in heavy construction sounds coming in.
It is an absolute fantastic hotel! It has free wlan and a free mini bar (water, coke, orange juice, chocolate, crisps, peanuts, and cereal bar). The staff is very nice and helpful, the breakfast extraordinary. Rooms are big, quiet and clean, bathrooms as well. All in all, a perfect stay :-)
It is about 7-8 walking minutes away from the next metro station. To get to the city centre (Kreml) you need to drive for about 25-30 min with the metro. You can't really do anything in the surroundings of the hotel (no park, no restaurants, only possibility is small shopping centre next to the metro station).
The breakfast is really good! Another positive point is the free minibar. The staff speaks English, at least the reception staff. Despite the strange neighborhood, I could stay there again.
Taxi to Sheremetyevo International Airport costs EUR 58,00 (only option before 05:00 am).
Excellent staff, excellent hotel with reason prices.
Easy Metro access. Very good English skills by front desk staff. Great breakfast buffet. Free mini-bar. Basic room was adequate in size.
Ac didn't work...not sure if systems are turned off for the season. Poor condition of window coverings half room darkening and half not??? The bed mattress really needed replacement. Not a commercial quality product and just worn out. These are not complaints, simply observations...overall, the room and hotel met our expectations.
Staff was really nice and helpful. Everything was really fine. Minibar included, nice example to follow by other hotels, I´m sure it´s not so expensive making people feel pampered. Arriving to the room was like feeling at home. A hotel to recommend.
It was 30 minutes by underground from the city centre, but the station is quite closed to the hotel, and the underground in Moscow works really well. It would be nice if they manage to get a tv channel in spanish.
I love that Katerina Park is non-smoking hotel - very rare to find this in Moscow. The staff are always helpful and friendly in both Russian and English. This is not my first stay here, nor will it be my last. I have stayed at many hotels in Russia but Katerina Park is definitely my favourite..
Management, warm atmosphere, cousin
No robes and slippers in the room, poor bathroom facilities.
Warm, friendly staff, comfortable and very reasonably priced. Well- positioned despite being 18k from the city centre - the Metro was very accessible from the hotel. It seemed safe walking to and from the Metro Station, even at night. The breakfasts were excellent - best we had in hotels in Russia & better than a lot in other countries. It had a very cosmopolitan atmosphere - people from all over russia, europe and throughout the world whether tourista, travellers or business people. Nice meals in the evening and quite late at night if needed. We would return
The tables are cleared too quickly at breakfast. Why?
In general, I would rate Katerina Park 10/10. The most notable fact is that many services are free: sauna, gym, wi-fi, lobby pc and (!!!) mini- bar. I lived on the 10th floor and still could leave the window open, so it was possible to sleep and breath the fresh air.
Some standard stuff like toothbrush and toothpaste were supposed to be in the room. But instead there was a label, mentioned that I should purchase them myself.
Breakfast is excellent, steam sauna is good, though I would prefer stone made rather than plastic, rooms are ok
No slippers, no gowns in the room, you have to ask for them, but the hotel does not have enough for all. Prices in the restaurant are high. Though it is a non-smoking hotel, the smell in the room says the opposite, people do smoke there!
One of the better hotels I have been in Moscow. Clean rooms, friendly people and excellent food. My beef was really perfect, also breackfast was nice. Close to Metro station. 1 H. from Domodedovo airport.
Tatyana and I had a very comfortable stay at the Katerina Park Hotel. The staff where helpful, friendly, polite and spoke good English. We enjoyed the breakfast and evening meals very much and a big thank you to all the staff.Next time we visit Moscow this hotel ticks all the boxes.
Nice concept all included in the minibar. Particularly practical for arrival late night. Furthermore the pub is 24 hs.
